Civil Site Inspector -Irrigation

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Civil Inspector – Irrigation & Utilities to inspect and monitor irrigation and utility infrastructure works, ensuring construction is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

The successful candidate will work closely with contractors, consultants, and project engineers to ensure high-quality execution of irrigation, drainage, and utility works.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect irrigation, water supply, drainage, and utility works during construction.
• Monitor excavation, pipe laying, bedding, backfilling, and reinstatement activities.
• Verify installation of HDPE, DI, uPVC, GRP, and RCC pipelines.
• Inspect manholes, chambers, valve chambers, catch basins, and associated utility structures.
• Witness hydrostatic, pressure, leakage, and commissioning tests.
• Ensure works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, and quality standards.
• Review inspection requests submitted by contractors.
• Identify non-conforming work and coordinate corrective actions.
• Maintain daily inspection reports and site records.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and project teams to resolve site issues.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in irrigation, utilities, water supply, drainage, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience inspecting pipeline installation and utility works.
• Good knowledge of construction drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with QA/QC inspection procedures.
• Experience in infrastructure or municipal projects is highly preferred.
• GCC experience is an advantage.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.

Pay: QAR6,000.00 - QAR8,000.00 per hour
