Civil & Structural Engineer

Civil & Structural Engineer for tower cranes and construction hoists is responsible for the structural integrity and safe design, installation, and operation of these systems on a construction site.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

· Prepare and coordinate shop drawings in line with client specifications, standards, and project requirements

· Design tower crane foundations and bracing systems

· Handle submittals and approvals, including pre-qualification, MOSRA, and municipal documentation

· Maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure proper logging of contract drawings, building permits, and approvals (MOSRA & PQ)

· Develop and update site logistics plans for efficient workflow and material handling

· Create manufacturing drawings (e.g. beams) and ensure technical accuracy

· Coordinate with site teams and consultants to align execution with design intent

· Liaise with site personnel to monitor logistics and ensure smooth operations

· Manage all technical and project-related email correspondence promptly and professionally

· Attend progress and technical meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams

· Prepare and submit material submittals in compliance with project specifications

· Follow up with consultants on inspections and approvals to avoid delays

· Oversee design development and ensure timely submission of shop drawings by subcontractors

· Raise and track technical queries (TQs) with clients/consultants for resolution

· Assist in developing method statements and procedures for structural and architectural works

· Coordinate drawing approvals and distribute construction-ready drawings to site teams

· Work with Site Engineers to ensure quality, safety, and resolution of technical issues across trades

· Maintain and organize product manuals and technical documents for reference and compliance

Requirements:

· Ex-GCC experience in construction industry for high-rise building projects

· In-depth knowledge of Structural or Mechanical Engineering principles

· Skilled in Microsoft Office applications and basic report preparation

· Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities

· Capable of handling multiple tasks and managing time efficiently

· Proficient in AUTOCAD and experienced with technical tools such as STAAD PRO, SAFE CSI, and 3D Modeling software

· Strong project coordination and management capabilities

· Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

· High attention to detail, with strong analytical thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills

· Experience thriving in fast-paced environments with tight project deadlines

· Solid understanding of construction drawings, technical specifications, and related documentation

Qualifications (License/Certification): Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
