Job Title: Supervisor (Civil)

Department: Civil

Division : Project

Location: Akhod, Vagra, Gujarat, India.

Reporting To: Senior Manager / Manager – Projects (Civil)

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Supervision & Execution

  • Supervise and control day-to-day civil construction activities such as excavation,

formwork, concreting, structural works, masonry, flooring, and finishing.

  • Ensure execution as per approved drawings, technical specifications, and project

quality plans.

  • Coordinate and sequence work between different trades (civil, mechanical,

electrical, instrumentation).

  • Monitor progress and ensure adherence to project schedules and work fronts.

2. Quality & Safety Assurance

  • Enforce strict compliance with company quality standards and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections and ensure rectification of defects and non￾conformities.
  • Ensure proper curing, material handling, and workmanship during construction.
  • Implement and monitor HSE practices as per company and statutory norms

(OISD, OSHA, etc.).

  • Promote safe work practices and participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and

risk assessments.

3. Contractor & Workforce Management

  • Supervise and guide contractors, subcontractors, and workmen at site.
  • Verify manpower deployment and ensure optimal utilization of resources.
  • Check and verify work measurements, quantities, and contractor billing data.
  • Assist engineers and project managers in evaluating contractor performance.

4. Material & Resource Control

  • Ensure timely availability of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Monitor storage, handling, and use of materials to prevent wastage.
  • Reconcile materials and report shortages or discrepancies to the site engineer.
  • Maintain records of material receipts, consumption, and site stock.

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain site records such as daily progress reports, manpower deployment,

material usage, and equipment logs.

  • Report deviations, delays, and issues to the site engineer or project manager

promptly.

  • Support preparation of as-built drawings and project close-out documentation.

6. Coordination & Communication

  • Liaise with engineers, safety officers, and other site supervisors to ensure smooth

execution.

  • Communicate effectively with vendors and local authorities for site-related

activities.

  • Ensure all stakeholders are informed of site progress and challenges.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Diploma in Civil Engineering or ITI (Civil) with strong field

experience.

  • Experience: 12–20 years of experience in civil construction and maintenance

within the chemical, fertilizer, petrochemical, refinery, or oil & gas sectors.

  • Proven experience in supervising large-scale industrial projects including

foundations, tank farms, pipe racks, equipment structures, and utility buildings.

  • Hands-on exposure to EPC / PMC project environments preferred.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial civil works, concrete technology, structural steel works, industrial painting and finishing standards.
  • Working knowledge of QA/QC and HSE procedures.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams at site.
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in using basic MS Office tools and familiarity with site documentation.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹450,000.00 - ₹550,000.00 per year
