A Civil Supervisor oversees day-to-day civil construction activities at project sites. They ensure work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate civil construction activities (concrete works, masonry, excavation, finishing, etc.)
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Manage labor teams, subcontractors, and site workers
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and site safety procedures
  • Monitor work progress and report to Project Manager / Site Engineer
  • Conduct site inspections and quality checks
  • Arrange materials, equipment, and manpower as required
  • Maintain daily site reports and progress records
  • Resolve on-site issues and technical problems
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets

Qualifications

  • Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 3–10 years of experience in construction supervision (varies by project size)
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards
  • Ability to read construction drawings
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office; knowledge of project software is an advantage)
