Job Summary:
The Civil Work Supervisor will oversee and coordinate all on-site civil construction activities, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards and design specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate civil construction activities, including earthworks, concreting, masonry, steel, formwork, and finishing works.
- Ensure work is carried out according to drawings, specifications, and project plans.
- Monitor daily progress and prepare site reports for management and clients.
- Manage and allocate manpower, materials, and equipment efficiently.
- Enforce safety regulations and ensure compliance with company and statutory HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards.
- Inspect and verify the quality of work performed by subcontractors and laborers.
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and quality control teams to resolve site issues.
- Conduct toolbox meetings and ensure proper documentation of site activities.
- Track material usage and request additional materials as needed.
- Ensure timely completion of work milestones and assist in preparing work schedules.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Preferably Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (B.E / B.Tech / DAE Civil).
- Diploma in Management, or related field.
- Minimum 3–8 years of experience in civil construction supervision (experience range can vary by project type).
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and hospital industry standards.
- Familiar with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Good understanding of safety and quality management practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and make decisions under pressure.
Preferred:
- Experience in infrastructure / building / road / utility projects (specify depending on company type).
- Certification in construction safety or site supervision.
