A Technical Office Engineer with 3–5 years of experience is responsible for supporting the engineering, planning, and execution of construction projects by preparing technical documents, coordinating with site teams, and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and update shop drawings, as-built drawings, BOQs, and material submittals.
- Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
- Assist in preparing project schedules, progress reports, and cost estimates.
- Manage and track material procurement, ensuring timely delivery to site.
- Conduct quantity surveying and prepare payment certificates/invoices.
- Follow up on RFIs and ensure timely responses from consultants or clients.
- Maintain documentation and ensure proper filing of all technical and engineering documents.
- Participate in project coordination meetings and provide technical support to site teams.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in technical office engineering within construction or contracting companies.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management software (e.g., Primavera or MS Project).
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and engineering standards.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
