Civil Technician

Job Purpose:

To assist in the planning, execution, and supervision of civil engineering projects by performing technical tasks such as site inspections, measurements, drafting, surveying, and quality control. The Civil Technician ensures that construction activities comply with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the execution of civil construction and maintenance works (e.g., concrete, steel, masonry, excavation).
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
• Take precise measurements and prepare site layouts as per engineering drawings.
• Assist in preparing material quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
• Support engineers in drafting technical reports, sketches, and construction drawings.
• Ensure that construction materials used on-site meet quality and specification requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other site personnel to ensure smooth workflow.
• Maintain accurate records of work progress, inspections, and materials used.
• Identify and report any technical problems or deviations from the approved plans.
• Follow all occupational health and safety standards during site activities.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in civil construction, preferably in infrastructure or building projects.
• Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and site practices.
• Familiarity with surveying equipment and tools is a plus.
• Basic computer skills (AutoCAD, MS Office, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and teamwork.

Pay: ﷼2,000.00 - ﷼3,500.00 per month
