The Opportunity
A leading programme and project management consultancy is seeking an experienced Claim Management Support professional to join a major giga-project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This role will support the commercial and project controls teams in the management, review, assessment, and administration of contractual claims across a large-scale mixed-use development programme.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting claims avoidance, claims evaluation, extension of time assessments, variation reviews, and dispute resolution processes, ensuring contractual compliance and protecting project interests across multiple packages and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Claims Administration & Support

Support the management and administration of contractor and consultant claims across multiple project packages.

Assist in reviewing claims related to variations, extensions of time (EOT), prolongation costs, disruption, acceleration, and contractual entitlements.

Maintain accurate claims registers, tracking submissions, responses, status updates, and outcomes.

Ensure claims are properly documented, contractually substantiated, and aligned with project governance requirements.
Contractual Review & Analysis

Review contract terms, obligations, notices, and entitlement positions in relation to submitted claims.

Support the preparation of claim assessments, contractual recommendations, and management reports.

Assist in identifying risks related to potential disputes and support proactive claims avoidance strategies.

Analyse project records, schedules, correspondence, and commercial data to support claim evaluations.
Commercial & Project Controls Coordination

Work closely with commercial, planning, project controls, and legal teams to ensure claims are accurately assessed and supported.

Coordinate with planners for programme analysis related to delay claims and EOT assessments.

Support quantity surveyors and commercial managers in evaluating cost impacts and financial exposure.

Assist in preparing executive summaries and reports for senior management and client stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management

Liaise with contractors, consultants, and internal project teams regarding claims submissions and contractual correspondence.

Support meetings related to claim reviews, negotiations, and dispute resolution processes.

Ensure timely communication and follow-up across all relevant stakeholders.
Governance & Compliance

Ensure all claims processes are managed in accordance with contractual obligations, company procedures, and project governance frameworks.

Support audit readiness through accurate record keeping and document management.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across claims management processes.
Candidate Requirements
Essential Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Law, Commercial Management, or related discipline.

4+ years of experience in claims management, commercial management, contract administration, or project controls within major construction projects.

Strong experience supporting claims related to EOT, variations, disruption, prolongation, and dispute resolution.

Good understanding of contract administration principles and construction claims processes.

Experience working with consultants, contractors, and client-side project teams on large-scale developments.

Strong analytical and documentation skills with excellent attention to detail.
Preferred
-
Experience working on major mixed-use, infrastructure, hospitality, sports, or giga-project developments within the GCC.

Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts and international forms of contract.

Experience supporting formal dispute resolution processes, arbitration support, or forensic delay analysis.

Professional qualifications such as MRICS, CIArb, PMP, or equivalent are advantageous.
