 Claims Commercial Manager (Associate Director level)
 
 to support a landmark
 
 sports and mixed-use mega development
 
 in Riyadh.
 
 
 The role will act as a
 
 senior commercial and claims advisor
 
 , providing independent, best-in-class guidance to the client across complex construction packages. This position requires strong technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to operate confidently in a
 
 client-facing, advisory-led environment
 
 .
 
 
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities
 
 
 
 
 
 Claims &amp; Dispute Advisory
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Lead the
 
 preparation, review, and evaluation of high-value claims
 
 , including
 
 EOTs, variations, disruption, prolongation, and loss &amp; expense
 
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop and advise on
 
 claims strategies
 
 aligned with client objectives and project governance
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare
 
 independent entitlement assessments
 
 , quantum analysis, and expert position papers
 </li>
 <li>
 Support claims negotiations and dispute avoidance initiatives
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 Commercial &amp; Contractual Advisory
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Provide expert advice on
 
 contract interpretation and administration
 
 , typically under
 
 FIDIC and bespoke contract forms
 
 </li>
 <li>
 Support the client with
 
 change management processes
 
 , early warnings, and commercial controls
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify, assess, and report
 
 commercial and contractual risks
 
 at programme and package level
 </li>
 <li>
 Review contractor submissions and provide robust, evidence-based recommendations
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 Stakeholder &amp; Client Management
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Act as a trusted
 
 senior advisor to the client
 
 , interfacing with legal teams, contractors, and other consultants
 </li>
 <li>
 Support formal dispute resolution processes including
 
 amicable settlement, mediation, adjudication, and arbitration
 
 </li>
 <li>
 Contribute to executive-level reporting, steering committees, and governance forums
 </li>
 <li>
 Represent the consultancy with professionalism and authority on a high-profile project
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 Leadership &amp; Consultancy Excellence
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical oversight to junior commercial and claims professionals
 </li>
 <li>
 Support business development activities where required, including proposals and client presentations
 </li>
 <li>
 Promote best practice, consistency, and quality assurance across claims and commercial outputs
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 Ideal Candidate Profile
 
 
 
 
 
 Experience
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Extensive experience in
 
 claims, commercial management, or dispute advisory
 
 within a
 
 consultancy or professional services environment
 
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven track record on
 
 large-scale construction, infrastructure, or mixed-use developments
 
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience on
 
 sports, stadia, or mega projects
 
 is highly desirable
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Steel structures experience
 
 is a strong advantage but
 
 not essential
 
 </li>
 <li>
 Middle East experience is beneficial but not mandatory
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 Qualifications
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Degree in
 
 Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Engineering, Construction Law
 
 , or similar
 </li>
 <li>
 
 RICS chartership (MRICS / FRICS) preferred
 
 , but
 
 not essential
 
 </li>
 <li>
 Additional qualifications in
 
 claims, dispute resolution, or construction law
 
 are advantageous
 </li>
 </ul>

 Expert-level knowledge of
 
 claims preparation, assessment, and negotiation
 
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong understanding of
 
 FIDIC and complex bespoke contracts

 Commercially astute with a strategic, advisory mindset
 </li>
 <li>
 Comfortable operating at
 
 Associate Director level
 
 within a global consultancy
 </li>
