Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia


A leading international project and programme management consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to support the delivery of a major, high-profile entertainment and sporting development in Riyadh. This role will be site-focused, leading construction execution across a significant package within a complex, fast-paced programme.


Role Overview

The Senior Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing on-site construction activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The role requires strong leadership across contractors, subcontractors, and site teams, as well as close coordination with design, commercial, and project controls functions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all on-site construction activities across assigned project packages
  • Oversee contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with programme, quality, and safety requirements
  • Drive construction sequencing, methodology, and productivity to achieve delivery milestones
  • Monitor progress against schedule, identifying risks and implementing mitigation or recovery measures
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards, promoting a strong safety culture on site
  • Coordinate closely with design and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and manage design changes
  • Support commercial teams with contract administration, variations, and claims as required
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and progress reviews
  • Lead site meetings and provide clear reporting to senior project stakeholders
  • Manage interfaces between multiple contractors and workstreams within a live construction environment


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
  • Minimum 15+ years of construction experience, with a strong focus on large-scale projects
  • Proven track record in managing complex construction packages within major developments
  • Experience working in the Middle East, particularly on high-value or fast-track projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, site management practices, and HSE standards
  • Experience working under international contract frameworks (e.g. FIDIC)
  • Ability to lead large site teams and manage multiple contractors simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving, coordination, and decision-making skills
