Claims Administrative Assistant (Uniondale, NY)

PURPOSE :

Gramercy Risk Management is seeking a Claims Administrative Assistant to join our expanding company. The position will be responsible for supporting services for the claims and litigation teams.


We are in search of a candidate to be full-time with prior insurance industry experience. Currently, we look to fill the position in our main office, with some remote capability (3 days in office, 2 WFH).


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assure the prompt reporting & inputting of electronic data
  • Answering phone calls and emails to provide status updates, explain procedures, and/or answer questions.
  • Creating, updating, and documenting claim files, as well as entering new loss information into Claims System.
  • Assisting adjusters with administrative tasks, scheduling, and office mail management.
  • Reviewing claim forms for accuracy, completeness, and requesting additional information when needed.
  • Assisting Claims Examiners with verifying policy coverage, and processing payments for claims.


REQUIREMENTS and QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or life experience
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in Claims Administrative work
  • Good telephone demeanor
  • Proficient use of a PC and Microsoft Office

The compensation package includes salary commensurate with levels of skills and experience, a comprehensive benefit package including but not limited to:

Salary: $70,000-$80,000
