Your Responsibilities
• Manage a mixed claims portfolio of Casualty Claims (General/Third Party Liability, Medical Malpractice, Professional Indemnity, Workmen Compensation), and other lines as necessary.
• Take full ownership of the assigned claims from around the UAE and manage own allocated portfolio of accounts, implementing Best Practices, and ensuring Service Standards are met in line with the Key Performance Indicators.
• Provide guidance and support to clients, explain the claims process and information required, manage their expectations for each step of the process, answering questions, addressing concerns, and providing regular updates on claim status.
• Proactively manage claims end to end across multiple lines and monitor claims progress: from first notice of loss to final settlement.
• Act as primary liaison between clients and insurers, third-party service providers to ensure the client has a smooth claims experience.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, independent adjusters, lawyers, experts, and other stakeholders, fostering trust and collaboration.
• Engage in effective negotiations with insurers, loss adjusters and other parties to achieve fair and reasonable outcomes.
• Identify and flag potential delays, inefficiencies, or disputes early, and provide recommendations to improve the customer experience and achieve the best outcomes.
• Deliver clear and regular updates to clients throughout the claim lifecycle.
• Work closely with producers, account managers & executives, brokers, placement teams, partners, to manage claims relationship with clients and to act as an ambassador for Lockton’s claims offering.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Use of standard Microsoft applications, and other systems at Lockton. • Preparation and provision of claims reports, track and assess claims activity, participate in regular calls and meetings with clients.
• Report to UAE Claims Manager and provide support and assistance on large, contentious or complex losses including CAT events.
The successful candidate will possess
• A positive attitude, be proactive, be team oriented, be organized and always looking to improve service and results, and will require to demonstrate consistent excellent customer service, empathy, professionalism, and a sense of urgency to support clients by taking full ownership of the claim process to ensure fair and efficient resolutions.
• Strong communication skills demonstrated in active listening, clear and straightforward writing and speaking abilities (Arabic languages is a plus but not mandatory)
• An experience of 8+ years in managing a portfolio of Casualty claims (Liabilities, Workmen Compensation) big plus if exposed to Medical Malpractice, or other lines of business i.e. Financial Lines
• A strong ability of reading policy wording and interpret it accurately, ability to analyze coverage Job Description • A thorough understanding of claims processes and procedures.
• A bachelor’s degree in insurance, business administration, law, engineering, or a related field
• A professional certification from a reputable insurance institute or working towards a professional certification is a plus.
