Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change, based on managerial discretion and work performance. All applicants must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed (for example: emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change.Evaluates liability and communicates company position to the party responsible for causing damage to company property, or their insurance carrier.
Investigate and resolve first-party property damage and subrogation claims within assigned authority and experience level.
Coordinate assigned litigation and collaborate with outside counsel in support of property damage recovery efforts.
Represent the Company in court proceedings involving facilities and property damage claims, as required.
Maintain a working knowledge of applicable statutes, case law, regulations, and industry best practices.
Support the Insurance Team in the collection, review, and administration of Certificates of Insurance.

Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel

Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
Experience:
A minimum of one (1) or more years of claims handling experience or related collections experience is required.
Three (3) or more years claims experience is preferred.
Knowledge of gas and electric distribution systems is also preferred.
Licenses & Certifications:
Connecticut Casualty Adjuster’s License required, or ability to obtain within one (1) year of hire
Valid motor vehicle driver’s license
