What you'll do:
New Hire Onboarding & Core Training
- Facilitate new hire onboarding programs that build consistent foundational knowledge and role readiness.
- Deliver structured training on claims fundamentals, systems, policies and procedures, reimbursement processes, and professional standards.
- Manage onboarding schedules, training timelines, and required milestones to support a smooth, on-time ramp for new hires.
- Assess trainee proficiency through observations, knowledge checks, and assessments to confirm readiness for production work.
Ongoing & Remedial Training
- Deliver refresher, remediation, and advanced training for tenured employees based on performance insights and business needs.
- Partner with leaders to address quality trends and close skill gaps through targeted learning solutions.
- Support employees returning from extended leave, role transitions, and system or process changes to rebuild confidence and performance.
Training Materials & Documentation
- Develop and update training materials, job aids, guides, and process documentation to keep content current and easy to use.
- Maintain the Claims training library and knowledge resources (including SharePoint and online documentation) so teams can quickly find what they need.
- Collaborate with Training Developers and Claims Leadership to align training content with workflows, policies, and performance expectations.
Program Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
- Gather feedback through check-ins, surveys, and listening sessions to evaluate effectiveness and learner confidence.
- Track completion and effectiveness metrics (participation, proficiency, post-training outcomes) and share insights with Claims Leadership.
- Recommend and implement training improvements using feedback, performance data, and QA findings.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Claims Leadership, trainers, quality, and operational teams to support departmental priorities and deliverables.
- Support training for system enhancements, automation initiatives, and process redesigns to drive adoption and consistency.
- Participate in departmental meetings to share training updates, risks, and recommendations.
What you'll bring:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience strongly preferred (Education, Training, or Healthcare Administration a plus.)
- Business curiosity: Eagerness to learn our business model and products and translate them into practical, learner-friendly training.
- Training experience: 3+ years facilitating training for adult learners (virtual and/or in-person.)
- Industry knowledge: Experience in Claims, Stop Loss, Ancillary, or a TPA environment is a plus.
- Communication & collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to partner effectively across teams and levels.
- Facilitation: Confident presenting and leading discussions with small and large groups.
- Organization & prioritization: Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment.
- Adaptability & professionalism: Maintains a solutions-focused approach in a fast-paced environment and supports learners through change.
- Instructional design: Familiarity with adult learning principles and creating engaging learning experiences (job aids, guides, activities, and assessments.)
- Learning technology: Experience using or supporting a Learning Management System (LMS) and virtual training tools is a plus.
- Technical proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
