Position Summary:

Tier One is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Claims Manager to oversee and support all aspects of claims management. This role is responsible for promoting and implementing process improvement methodologies and best practices to enhance our military members and partners' claims experience. The Claims Manager will review and evaluate claims, develop and implement policies and procedures, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient and compliant operations. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills are essential for success in this position.

Job Functions:

· Manage daily operations of the Claims Department to meet operational, financial, and service objectives

· Supervise, train, and provide direction to claims staff

· Ensure timely and proper disposition of claims in accordance with policy provisions

· Oversee the entire claims process from initial intake through final resolution

· Evaluate and determine claim validity based on established guidelines and regulatory parameters

· Review and approve settlement amounts for escalated claims

· Lead settlement negotiations and manage disputed claims

· Analyze claims data and prepare reports on trends, performance metrics, and operational outcomes

· Identify and resolve issues related to claims processing

· Analyze, process, and settle assigned claims in accordance with company policies, prescribed timeframes, and DoD regulations

Preferred Education, Knowledge & Skills:

· Bachelor's Degree in Business or related 4-year degree preferred

· Minimum 3 years DoD/DoW Military claims adjusting experience preferred

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Proficient computer skills – MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

· Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills

· Must live in the US and be authorized to work for any employer within the US

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $64,000.00 per year
