We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Construction Claims Manager to join our Corporate Risk Management team. This role will oversee the administration of Workers’ Compensation, General Liability & Auto Liability claims.
The ideal candidate is a mid-level claims professional who understands the operational realities of construction environments and can effectively partner with Safety, Human Resources, Operations, and Legal teams to manage claims exposure, support injured employees, and drive positive claim outcomes.
This position offers strong visibility within the organization and the opportunity to contribute directly to enterprise risk strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage Workers’ Compensation and General Liability claims from first notice of loss through resolution
Partner with project leadership and Safety teams to ensure timely reporting and thorough incident documentation
Collaborate with third-party administrators, brokers, and defense counsel while maintaining internal ownership of claim strategy
Monitor claim reserves, litigation activity, and settlement strategies to ensure alignment with corporate objectives
Support return-to-work and modified duty programs in coordination with HR and field leadership
Analyze claims data and trends to identify risk drivers and recommend preventive measures
Ensure compliance with applicable state regulations and company policies
Prepare executive-level reporting on claims activity, exposure, and performance metrics
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Risk Management function
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business , Risk Management, Construction Management, or related field preferred
4–7 years of experience managing Workers’ Compensation and General Liability claims, preferably within construction or a related industry
Working knowledge of multi-state WC regulations and claims administration practices
Experience working within self-insured or high-deductible insurance programs
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively with field teams, senior leadership, and external partners
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Credentials
AIC (Associate in Claims)
ARM ( Associate in Risk Management )
