We are looking for an experienced Claims Specialist to join our team in Duncan, South Carolina. In this role, you will manage and oversee the full lifecycle of worker's compensation claims, ensuring efficient processing and resolution. This position requires expertise in claims management, risk reduction strategies, and effective communication with claimants and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Handle a high volume of worker's compensation claims from initiation to final resolution, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
• Conduct thorough investigations and audits to assess claims and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with employees, insurers, and claimants to resolve claims efficiently and effectively.
• Provide expert guidance on risk management strategies to help clients minimize future liabilities.
• Analyze claims data to identify trends and recommend improvements to reduce overall risk exposure.
• Facilitate the claims adjudication process, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Assist in preparing reports and documentation for audits and compliance purposes.
• Serve as a key point of contact for claimants, addressing inquiries and providing support throughout the claims process.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and resolution of claims.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in claims management, including worker's compensation claims.
• Strong knowledge of compensation and benefits, including FMLA and worker's compensation laws.
• Proficiency in claim administration and adjudication processes.
• Demonstrated experience in insurance claims handling and risk management.
• Excellent analytical skills to evaluate claims and identify risk mitigation opportunities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with claimants, clients, and insurance providers.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple claims simultaneously.
• Strong organizational skills with a focus on attention to detail.
