Class 1 HGV Driver

Overview
We are seeking a professional Class 1 HGV Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various routes, ensuring and maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a strong focus on commercial driving and delivery operations.

Duties

• Operate Class 1 HGVs, Bulk tipping trailer, Compiying with all road safety and traffic regulations.
• Conduct pre-journey checks on vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and report any faults or issues promptly.
• Load and unload goods safely, ensuring proper securing of cargo,
• Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery schedules and minimise delays.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to deliveries, vehicle logs, and compliance records.
• Communicate effectively with the team regarding delivery status and any unforeseen issues during transit.
• Adhere to all health and safety policies, including safe driving practices and vehicle maintenance protocols.

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 HGV licence with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly in bulk haulage.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for large vehicle operation.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes and manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and team members professionally.
