Class A Delivery Drive

Summary: Quest Engineering, Inc., an architectural casework manufacturer, is currently seeking an individual for a Class A Delivery Driver. This position is responsible for assigned deliveries and pick-up of merchandise, as well as assisting with shipping and receiving responsibilities when needed.

Department: Logistics

Reports to: Fleet Manager

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Operates company vehicle in a professional, safe and courteous manner.
  • Maintains company vehicles, and performing preventative maintenance as need
  • Picks up merchandise and invoices from warehouse/vendors.
  • Delivers merchandise to customers in a timely manner.
  • Ensures delivery of appropriate merchandise in accordance with customer invoices.
  • Ensures delivery vehicles are clean and in good working condition.
  • Performs daily maintenance checks and reports malfunctions to management.
  • Ensures customer messages/communications are relayed to appropriate management.
  • Returns credit merchandise with appropriate paperwork and informs management of delivery.
  • Operate a forklift safely when needed (with proper certification).
  • Maintain an orderly work area by systemically cleaning and conducting preventative maintenance throughout shift.
  • Assists with stocking the shipping and receiving department to include lifting and carrying cartons and placing them on appropriate shelves.
  • Reports overstock occurrences to management immediately.
  • Fills delivery orders by obtaining the required merchandise and completing appropriate paperwork.
  • Provides customer with receipt and/or credit form for merchandise to be picked up.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Load and unload company vehicle as required.
  • Perform other tasks/jobs assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Specifications/Requirements:

  • 2+ years in a CDL Driving role
  • Familiarity with using navigation and logging systems.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent vision and hand-eye coordination to stay safe while driving.
  • Reliable and prompt.
  • Physical ability to load and unload heavy cargo as needed.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Valid Driver’s License - Must meet insurance underwriting requirements
  • Must have their CDL A
  • Valid Medical Card
