Class A Driver - Local Home Daily.

SUMMARY:

• Primary responsibility is to drive a heavy truck at an excess capacity of more than three (3) tons; to specified destinations and locations, and to perform the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas,oiland water.
• Drivestrucksor equipment to assignedlocation.
• Maintains trucklog, according to state and federal regulations.
• Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive instructions.
• Cleans inside oftruck. Performs routine maintenance ontrucksor equipment.
• Must have a working knowledge and understanding of safetyrequirements andpractice them.
• When assigned,will open a work orderso time may be charged out toassigningdepartment.

• Reports accidents to HRimmediately, obtaining names, licensenumbersand other details.
• Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery of vehicle or equipment.
• Must work with and for all departments in harmony.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

• This position requires a CDL Class A license and clean driving record to remain insurable.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• A minimum of two years long distance driving experience.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• High skill level driving heavy trucks. Highly detail oriented and organized in work. Acceptable written and oral communication skills. Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with a customer service focus with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results. Must have initiative and the ability act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives. Must possess a strong desire to learn
