What We’re Looking For in You:

Skill and Experience:

• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and documents checks utilizing the standard Driver Vehicle Inspection Report.
• Operate manual and/or automatic controls in accordance with Company safety policies and procedures to lift and load waste, operate compactor, and dispose of collected material at the designated facility.
• Safely operate heavy truck along designated route and to the disposal site.
• Successfully read route sheets and service each customer as identified on the route sheet or as assigned by the dispatcher and/or manager.
• Keeping the truck free of trash and other material that may fall onto but not into the hopper of the truck in the process of dumping containers, which may include getting out of the truck and climbing on truck ladders to clear debris from the truck shield and the top of the truck
• Communicate with all customers, dispatchers, and/ or others daily to ensure all customer routes are serviced in a timely and professional manner.
• Notify Dispatch or Management of service interruptions including closed or impassable streets or alleyways, receptacles too heavy to service or potential safety hazards.
• Immediately reports all unsafe situations or accidents to Dispatch or Management
• Completely dumps all receptacles and leaves the customer’s location clean and free of debris. Also required to open and close gates and/or enclosure doors when servicing customer containers.
• Good time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe manner.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
