Afternoon Route Monday-Saturday from 3pm-6:30pm going out of Waldorf Maryland box truck route.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Class B trucks equipped with manual transmissions, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Drive various types of trucks such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and tractor-trailers as required for different freight types
  • Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts or manual methods, ensuring cargo integrity and safety
  • Plan and follow optimized delivery routes to meet schedule deadlines while maintaining fuel efficiency
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, checking brakes, tires, lights, and other critical systems
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for compliance purposes
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly

Qualifications

  • Valid Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
  • Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles involving freight handling and route driving
  • Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles is required
  • Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is highly desirable
  • Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or manual techniques
  • Knowledge of safety protocols related to trucking operations and cargo securement
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and inspections

Pay: $29.79 - $35.90 per hour
