Why does the job exist?

The Class and Compensation Analyst will:
Process refunds for qualifying events during the current calendar year, ensuring timely collection of basic life insurance premiums, and performing quality assurance for dependents aging out of the health plan;

Train Human Resource professionals in non-payment collections and basic life insurance operational transactions;

Manage tracking systems for refunds and premiums and conduct monthly reconciliations of refunds.

How does it get done?

The Class and Compensation Analyst is responsible for:
Processing current calendar year refunds for qualifying events, ensuring accuracy and compliance;

Overseeing Time and Labor suspension reports for ensuring timely collections of basic life insurance premiums to maintain financial Integrity;

Conducting monthly reconciliations of refunds, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues promptly;

Monitoring dependent aging out of benefit plans, facilitating necessary updates to maintain compliance;

Assisting with agency reconciliation of voluntary payroll deductions;

Providing training and support to Human Resource personnel regarding non-payment collections and other payroll related transactions (QPR);

Tracking and reporting on various metrics managing spreadsheets to document details of refunds, collections, and reconciliations.

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration, Personnel Administration or Management and two (2) years of experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of this classification. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of this classification totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements

Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.

Must obtain a Defensive Driving Certificate.
Working Conditions

Work Is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required. Some travel may be required. Occasionally work extra hours, on weekends and holidays.
