Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with students of various ages (5 years old to 15 years old) and possess the ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment. The Instructor will be responsible for delivering educational content, managing classroom dynamics, and fostering a positive experience for all participants.
Responsibilities
- Guide and implement lesson plans that align with iCodes educational standards and cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Facilitate engaging classroom activities that promote learning and encourage student participation.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all students.
- Provide individualized support to students as needed, helping them achieve their academic goals.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and progress reports.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
- Ensure all hub equipment is working, and report any system or equipment malfunctions
- Clean and organize the hubs
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Experience working with students in various settings such as daycare, sports coaching, or camps is preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain an effective learning environment.
- Experience in childcare or babysitting is beneficial for understanding the needs of younger students.
- College Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Seniors (pursuing degree in Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) Exceptions can be made for student who are graduates of iCode Program and exceptional High School students with a career focus in Computer Science and active leadership role in a high school STEAM club a plus.
- Plus: Experience with: programming languages such as JavaScipt, Java, and Python, web development languages such as HTML and CSS, game design engines such as Unity or UnReal Engine is desirable, app development software such as Swift
