Job Summary
We are seeking a Clean Room Supervisor to oversee clean room operations involved in the cleaning, disinfection, inspection, packaging, and labelling of surgical instruments. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a medical environment, preferably Operation Theatre (OT), CSSD, hospital sterile services, or medical device manufacturing, with strong knowledge of cleanliness protocols and infection control standards.
The role requires hands-on supervision to ensure strict adherence to clean room SOPs, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Clean Room Operations & Supervision
- Supervise daily activities in the clean room to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with approved protocols.
- Ensure proper implementation of clean room procedures, gowning practices, and controlled environment discipline.
- Monitor environmental cleanliness and coordinate corrective actions when required.
Cleaning & Disinfection Control
- Oversee cleaning and disinfection of surgical instruments according to approved SOPs.
- Ensure correct use of cleaning agents, disinfectants, and validated processes.
- Verify instruments are free from contamination, residues, and defects before packaging.
Inspection, Packaging & Labeling
- Supervise clean packaging and labeling activities to ensure accuracy, traceability, and compliance.
- Ensure instruments are handled, packed, and labeled in a contamination-free environment.
- Coordinate with Quality Control for inspections and documentation.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with ISO 13485, CE, FDA, and internal quality standards.
- Maintain proper records related to cleaning, disinfection, inspection, and packaging.
- Support internal audits, external audits, and regulatory inspections.
Team Management & Training
- Supervise clean room staff and ensure tasks are performed efficiently and correctly.
- Train staff on clean room behavior, hygiene, infection control, and SOP compliance.
- Enforce discipline, safety, and cleanliness standards at all times.
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with QC, Production, and Management to ensure smooth workflow.
- Report non-conformities, deviations, or risks related to cleanliness or quality.
- Assist in continuous improvement of clean room processes.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in a clean room, OT, CSSD, sterile processing, or medical device manufacturing environment.
- Medical-related background preferred (OT Technician, CSSD staff, hospital sterile services, or similar).
- Strong understanding of cleanliness protocols, infection control, and sterile handling.
- Familiarity with clean room SOPs and quality standards.
- Basic documentation and reporting skills.
