Job Purpose:
To maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the restaurant, ensuring a safe, pleasant, and sanitary environment for customers and staff at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize dining areas, tables, chairs, and service counters
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors regularly
- Clean restrooms and replenish supplies (soap, tissue, hand towels)
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as required
- Dispose of garbage and waste properly according to hygiene standards
- Clean kitchen areas, including sinks, walls, and food preparation surfaces
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor
- Assist with general cleaning duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a cleaner in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred
- Knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Basic communication skills (English preferred)
