Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will ensure the cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of our facilities, creating a welcoming environment for staff and clients alike. Your proactive approach and dedication will help uphold our high standards of cleanliness and operational excellence.
Availability
Monday - Friday 3:45pm - close (8:00 or 11:00pm), weekends as needed
Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
• Conduct janitorial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces
• Maintain floor care through buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to ensure surfaces are pristine
• Assist with industrial cleaning projects and residential painting as needed to support facility upkeep
• Conduct routine facilities maintenance checks to identify repairs or safety hazards
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
• Support general porter duties including moving supplies or furniture as required

Skills

• Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services
• Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, waxing, and stripping floors
• Familiarity with commercial cleaning standards and industrial cleaning processes
• Ability to perform residential painting tasks when necessary for facility improvements
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment safely and effectively
• Good physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout shifts
