A facility cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitization, and order of buildings, offices, and public facilities. Their duties include sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning furniture and restrooms, and waste disposal, using specific cleaning tools and materials and adhering to safety policies to ensure a healthy and clean environment for everyone.
1. Main Responsibilities and Tasks
Cleaning Spaces: Sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors, walls, furniture, windows, entrances, exits, and corridors.
Sanitizing and Disinfecting: Sanitizing and deodorizing restrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and patient rooms (in healthcare facilities).
Waste Management: Collecting garbage, emptying containers, and disposing of it in designated areas.
Textile Care: Changing and cleaning room linens, sheets, and towels (especially in hotels and hospitals).
Equipment Maintenance: Maintaining the cleanliness and availability of cleaning tools and materials (towels, soap, wipes, etc.).
Inspection and Reporting: Monitoring the condition of the building and reporting any damage, malfunctions, or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
2. Required Skills
Physical ability to perform physically demanding tasks. Adhere to the instructions and tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Pay attention to detail and ensure high standards of cleanliness.
Work independently or as part of a team.
3. Work Environment
Work may take place in various types of facilities: offices, hotels, hospitals, shops, etc.
Work may be required at different times (outside of regular working hours).
Strict adherence to occupational safety and health policies (such as handling hazardous medical waste).
