The Cleaning Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all cleaning and sanitation activities within the food & beverage facility. The role ensures compliance with hygiene, food safety, and health regulations while maintaining high cleanliness standards across production areas, kitchens, storage, and public spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning operations across kitchens, production areas, storage, and service areas
- Ensure compliance with F&B hygiene standards, food safety regulations, and HACCP requirements
- Assign duties, prepare cleaning schedules, and monitor staff performance
- Train cleaning staff on proper cleaning techniques, chemical usage, and safety procedures
- Inspect cleaned areas to ensure quality and compliance with standards
- Manage inventory of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and consumables
- Coordinate with kitchen and operations teams to avoid disruption to production
- Ensure proper waste segregation and disposal as per regulations
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or pest control concerns promptly
- Maintain cleaning records, checklists, and audit reports
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cleaning Supervisor or similar role within the F&B industry
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and sanitation practices
- Experience managing cleaning teams and schedules
- Ability to use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely
- Basic reporting and documentation skills
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Physically fit and able to work flexible shifts
Preferred Skills
- HACCP or Food Safety certification
- Experience in restaurants, bakeries, catering kitchens, or food production facilities
- Knowledge of local health authority regulations
