DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must possess and maintain a full-time CLEET certification.
Must be able to pass a written and physical ability test.
Must possess a valid driver’s license (possession of CDL class B with a passenger endorsement is strongly preferred but not required, will be required to get in the near future).
Must pass a background check.
Must pass oral board interview.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or be lawfully authorized to work in the U.S.
Must not have any felony convictions, domestic violence convictions, or driving under the influence record.
Must be available for shift work, including weekends and holidays.
MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO:
Travel in and out of the state for extended periods of time on short notice.
Work irregular hours.
Attend and complete a three week-long orientation academy.
Successfully complete in-service education and training.
Qualify annually with departmental issued service weapon.
Operate and maintain commercial vehicles.
Communicate effectively and follow all directives.
Learn and apply departmental policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
