Clerical Assistant

Position Summary

The Clerical Assistant will be responsible for assisting a designated department with clerical tasks and administrative projects.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary backup for front desk Receptionist, including switchboard duties
  • Assist in compilation, editing, and publication of monthly internal newsletter
  • Arrange meetings and ensure appropriate reservations, when necessary
  • Assist with event planning and coordination
  • Distribute internal mail and ensure out-going mail is processed
  • Maintain office supply stock
  • Other miscellaneous clerical and administrative duties, as assigned

Competencies & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Microsoft Publisher experience, preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service acumen
  • Efficient, effective organization and time-management skills
  • Consistent attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively with or without specific direction, as needed
