Clerical Assistant 2 Seasonal Ohiopyle State Park

We are searching for a dedicated Clerical Assistant 2 to serve as administrative support for the Ohiopyle State Park.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Assistant 2 in this position, you will serve as a receptionist by greeting, screening, and directing visitors while on duty at one of the parks public contact stations or Ohiopyle Visitor Center. Additional responsibilities include answering and transferring telephone calls, recording messages, and providing routine information about the park and local attractions. You will also process fees, issue permits, check in and register campers, and maintain brochure racks.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time, seasonal employment with no healthcare benefits.
    • There is not an option to buy into health care benefits.
  • Days/shifts will vary, will work 5 days/37.5 hours per week to include holidays and weekends as directed by Park Management.
    • The season runs from approximately March 2026 until October 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay.
    • The employee will automatically be returned to employment approximately March 2027.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting hourly rate of $18.46 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
