GENERAL SUMMARY: Under the direction of the District Attorney and Chief Clerk, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of clerical duties, including but not limited to, assisting in the answering phone calls, scanning and filing records, communicating with law enforcement agencies, court staff, attorneys, and other agency personnel, maintaining hard copy and digital files, and generally serving as clerical support to within the Office of the District Attorney.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.
Answer and route incoming phone calls in a professional and efficient manner.
2.
Prepare, scan and file appropriate information relating to criminal court matters.
3.
Communicate via mail, email, or other means with attorneys, law enforcement agencies, and other county departments.
4.
Assist with confirmation of existing information and other administrative tasks to insure the accuracy of data.
5.
Operate standard office equipment such as a personal computer, copier, scanner, and facsimile machine.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Any combination of education and experience which indicates possession of the skills, knowledge and abilities listed above. Position does require a high school diploma or equivalency diploma. Some knowledge of the criminal legal system is beneficial, but not a necessity; the willingness to learn the same is beneficial.

Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Excel is beneficial, but not a necessity.

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
PAY LEVEL: Pay Scale 8 - $ 13.65 to $ 14.90 based on experience with benefits.

Pay: $13.65 - $14.90 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
