In this role, you’ll play an important part in supporting patient care by coordinating both emergency and non-emergency transport services. You’ll work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where your ability to stay organized, communicate effectively, and provide excellent service will make a direct impact on patients and care teams.

Coordinate and schedule patient transport requests (emergency and non-emergency) within UPMC
-
Dispatch and manage transport units to ensure timely, efficient service

Serve as a point of contact for patients, staff, and external partners—answering questions and resolving concerns

Perform billing functions, including accurate claim submission, follow-ups, and account management
-
Accept and process payments (cash, credit/debit, or check) and provide receipts
-
Maintain dispatch logs, schedules, and transport documentation
-
Generate daily and monthly reports on volume and productivity

Assist with accounts receivable, collections, and monthly closing processes

Coordinate backup coverage and resources to ensure uninterrupted service
