Job Summary
The Court Clerk plays a vital role in the judicial system by providing administrative support to the court. This position involves managing court records, assisting with case management, and ensuring that court proceedings run smoothly. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service abilities while working in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Manage and maintain court records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist in the preparation of court documents and case files.
  • Handle front desk responsibilities, including greeting visitors and answering inquiries.
  • Operate multi-line phone systems to manage incoming calls efficiently.
  • Provide customer support by addressing questions from the public regarding court procedures.
  • Perform data entry tasks, including updating case information and filing documents.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office and Google Workspace for various administrative tasks.
  • Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage calendars for court schedules and appointments.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for easy retrieval of information.
  • Assist with bookkeeping tasks as needed, including invoicing and payment processing.
  • Collaborate with other court staff to ensure effective communication and workflow.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an office setting with clerical responsibilities.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Bilingual candidates are highly desirable to assist diverse populations effectively.
  • Strong typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and proofreading.
  • Experience in customer service roles, demonstrating effective phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience as a dental receptionist or medical receptionist is advantageous but not required.
  • Ability to manage time effectively while meeting deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Experience as a personal assistant or in office management is beneficial. Pay: $56,375.00 - $65,087.00 per year
