We are a game development studio creating innovative and engaging gaming experiences. Alongside developing our own titles, we collaborate with international clients on projects across mobile, PC, console, and emerging platforms.
We are looking for a Business Development Executive (Games) who excels at closing deals and driving revenue growth. The role involves handling leads from various channels, conducting client calls, understanding game requirements, drafting tailored proposals, managing the sales cycle, negotiating terms, and closing deals.
Responsibilities
- Research, identify, and qualify game development opportunities on Upwork and other freelance platforms.
- Draft and submit persuasive, tailored proposals aligned with client requirements.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including lead engagement, requirement gathering, negotiation, and deal closure.
- Join calls from any channel and confidently communicate with clients.
- Close deals independently or coordinate follow-up calls with technical leads for complex projects.
- Maintain availability for scheduled client calls in Eastern working hours, with flexibility when required.
- Consistently achieve monthly sales targets by closing qualified deals and maintaining a strong pipeline.Regularly review performance against targets with leadership and refine strategies to maximize results.
- Handle objections effectively and guide clients toward decision-making.
- Negotiate project scope, timelines, and budgets to achieve win–win outcomes.
- Provide smooth handover of closed deals to the development/production team with clear, actionable briefs.
- Communicate technical aspects of game design and development clearly to non-technical clients.
- Collaborate with technical leads to estimate scope and timelines and ensure feasibility.
- Maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Track bids, responses, call outcomes, and conversion metrics to optimize win rate.
- Identify and explore additional platforms to expand client acquisition channels.
Requirements
- 3+ years proven experience in Upwork bidding or freelance platform sales.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
- Strong written English for persuasive proposals and client communication.
- Proven research, opportunity qualification, and negotiation skills.
- Tech-savvy, comfortable with CRM tools, and adaptable to new platforms and workflows.
- Specialized training or certifications in sales, digital marketing, or business development is a plus.
- Prior exposure to gaming, software development, or digital services industries is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated success in winning contracts or qualifying leads.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with game development terms, technologies, monetization models, and production processes.
- Experience on platforms like Fiverr, Freelancer, Toptal, or LinkedIn outreach.
- Knowledge of CRM tools for tracking opportunities and lead.
