Client Development Specialist

Who We Are & Why This Role Matters:

Copia Resources isn't just another company. We are building an empire in the environmental services industry, redefining what waste management looks and feels like for multi-unit residential and commercial communities. We move fast, we solve problems, and we don't settle for good enough.

The Client Development Specialist is the glue that holds our client relationships together and the engine that keeps our sales team moving. This is not a passive support role. You will own client communication, support deal flow, manage onboarding, identify growth opportunities, and be the person clients call when they need something done fast.

If you thrive in a high-volume, high-accountability environment where no two days look the same, this is the role for you.

What You’ll Do - Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for an assigned territory of clients. Responsive, proactive, and solution-oriented
  • Build genuine relationships with property managers, on-site staff, and key decision-makers across your accounts
  • Conduct periodic check-ins and site visits to stay ahead of service concerns and strengthen client loyalty
  • Lead client onboarding from contract signature through successful launch, coordinating with Field Operations, haulers, and internal teams to ensure a smooth start
  • Host periodic account reviews to assess performance, surface opportunities, and deepen the partnership

What You’ll Do - Sales Support & Revenue Growth

  • Partner closely with the BDM and Director of Sales to support active deals. Prepare proposals, gather data, coordinate logistics, and ensure nothing stalls
  • Proactively identify upsell and expansion opportunities within your assigned accounts and bring them to the attention of the sales team
  • Assist in packaging and presenting service agreements, turning around polished documents with accuracy and speed
  • Support pipeline management by keeping CRM records, client notes, and follow-up tasks current

What You’ll Do - Service Coordination & Problem Solving

  • Act as the liaison between clients, Field Operations, customer service, and third-party haulers. You connect the dots and make things happen
  • Resolve service issues quickly and completely: missed pickups, bin placement, schedule changes, hauler coordination, and anything else that comes up
  • Escalate when needed, but always with a proposed solution in hand
  • Coordinate with BPO partners and internal departments to streamline service delivery

What You’ll Do - Administrative & Operational Excellence

  • Manage email and phone communications with urgency. Client inquiries deserve a response within 30 minutes during business hours
  • Keep account records, task lists, and project timelines accurate and up to date at all times
  • Support special projects, reporting needs, and cross-regional coverage as assigned
  • Work hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday; availability required on select holidays

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years of experience in account management, inside sales, or client-facing customer service in a professional office setting
  • A strong communicator (written, verbal, and in person) who can represent Copia with confidence and professionalism
  • Organized and detail-oriented. You track everything, miss nothing, and follow through every time
  • Tech-proficient. Comfortable with Mac, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and picking up new platforms quickly
  • Calm under pressure, fast on your feet, and committed to finding solutions rather than assigning blame
  • A team player who also knows how to work independently and prioritize without being told
  • Comfortable with occasional local travel for site visits and client meetings
  • Experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM is preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, not a requirement
  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred
  • Valid driver's license with 3+ years of clean driving history and reliable transportation required

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hourly compensation: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Medical, dental, vision insurance
  • Paid time off

Why You Want to Work Here:

  • You'll be challenged every day and you'll grow because of it
  • You'll report directly to the Director - someone who has built our sales process from the ground up and will invest in your success
  • You'll be part of a company that is actively redefining an industry. Environmental services done right, at scale
  • We promote from within. The people who build this will lead it.
  • Your effort is the ceiling.
