Job Context:
We are seeking a highly skilled and client-focused QuickBooks Accounting Lead to manage full-cycle accounting operations for our U.S.-based clients across industries such as construction, e-commerce, SaaS, and home health care. The ideal candidate will oversee accurate bookkeeping, financial reporting, payroll processing, and reconciliations while ensuring full compliance with U.S. GAAP standards.
This role requires leading multiple client accounts simultaneously, maintaining clean and organized financial records, and performing historical cleanups when needed. As a client-facing position, the QuickBooks Accounting Lead will communicate weekly with U.S. clients via Zoom/Google Meet, email, Slack, or WhatsApp—providing financial updates, addressing queries, and offering strategic guidance based on timely and accurate data.
The successful candidate must demonstrate strong technical expertise in QuickBooks Online (and occasionally Desktop), advanced proficiency in accounting processes, and excellent English communication skills. This position demands exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing 10–15 client books concurrently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead full-cycle accounting operations for multiple U.S.-based clients using QuickBooks Online (and occasionally Desktop).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring full compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting standards.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely posting, reconciliation, and communication with clients.
- Handle payroll processing, tax-related entries, and employee compensation records in alignment with client requirements.
- Perform general ledger maintenance, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Clean up clients’ historical books, correcting errors, organizing prior-year data, and establishing clean, audit-ready financials.
- Provide weekly financial updates and strategic accounting advice to U.S.-based clients via Zoom, Google Meet, email, Slack, or WhatsApp.
- Support client onboarding, including setup within QuickBooks, importing financial data, and establishing standard workflows.
- Communicate clearly and professionally in English during client meetings and written correspondence.
- Ensure all accounting activities follow internal controls, compliance requirements, and best practices for multi-client management.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve workflows, optimize processes, and ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
Qualifications
- (MUST HAVE)Proficiency in QuickBooks and general bookkeeping (5+ years at least)
- Experience with financial reporting and account reconciliations
- Ability to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions
- Knowledge of accounting standards and compliance requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must have a professional accounting qualification: CA, ACCA, or CMA.
- (MUST HAVE) Strong Excel skills.
- (Preferred) Audit background / Financial Reporting Experience
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks (must-have).
- Tech-savvy—comfortable using ChatGPT or similar AI tools for research, email writing, etc.
- Experienced professional with at least 5–7 years in accounting, or a related field.
***Note: We just want to note that this will be for handling multiple clients books at once through Quickbooks Online (sometimes Desktop but rarely), about 10-15
Required Expertise:
- Certification: ACCA, CA, CMA
- Knowledge of : GAAP
