We represent individuals in disputes with mortgage companies, debt collectors, credit reporting agencies, and other large financial institutions. We are building a dedicated intake team and are hiring a Client Intake Specialist to be the first point of contact for potential clients.
Responsibilities
- Answer and return inbound calls and web inquiries from potential clients
- Conduct structured intake interviews to gather key facts, timelines, and documents
- Listen empathetically to people in stressful situations while keeping the conversation focused
- Use firm criteria and checklists to identify whether a matter is likely a good fit
- Clearly communicate next steps, including when we cannot take a case
- Prepare concise summaries for attorney review
- Enter and update information accurately in intake/case-management systems
- Upload and organize documents and maintain orderly digital files
- Track lead status (new, in review, declined, converted to client)
- Follow up with potential clients for missing information or documents
- Coordinate with attorneys and staff to schedule consultations or follow-up calls

Required Qualifications
- Experience in intake, customer service, call center, legal assistant, social services, or another client-facing role
- Strong phone presence and professional written communication
- Comfortable working in a paperless, tech-heavy environment (multiple software systems)
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Able to work full-time during standard business hours in Eastern Time
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with consumer law, debt collection, mortgage/foreclosure, credit reporting, or financial services
- Prior experience in a plaintiff-side law firm or legal environment
- Familiarity with intake or case-management software (e.g., Clio, Lawmatics, or similar tools)
- Experience working remotely and collaborating with a distributed team
