The Clinic Chiropractic Assistant (CCA) provides support to patients in the Life Disc Center, from the initial visit throughout their health care journey in order to maximize the experience and health benefits. Responsible for assisting new and existing patients in the clinic, using strong interpersonal skills to provide efficient and effective communication to ensure a quality patient experience.
Essential Job Functions

Introduces the patient to the office layout, policies, and conducts patient education duties as assigned.
- Coordinates patient care services on the first and second visit including preparation for the consultation and exam.
- Assists the doctor with clinical patient activities, patient flow, and patient charting.

Cross trains and backup/assist with front desk duties.
- Performs intake consultation and/or exam functions and takes x-ray as directed by the doctor.
- Coordinates the patient report of findings including presenting information on chiropractic, facilitating the doctor’s report, and presenting care plan and finance options.
- Performs decompression, physiotherapy, laser therapy, and/or active care procedures as directed by the doctor.

Assists with scheduling patients for follow up visits according to the doctor’s recommendations.

Coordinates referrals and performs patient satisfaction follow up calls and reports.

Participates in HUB clinic patient promotions and clinic marketing events, as assigned.
- Greets vendors, patients, students, and other visitors in a friendly, approachable, and professional manner and ensures that they are escorted to the appropriate areas.

Ensures compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards.

Maintains all patient care areas; ensures areas are clean, tidy, properly supplied, and ready for patients on a daily basis.
- Assist the Director and Office Manager as needed.

Education, Training and/or Experience
-
High School Diploma, or GED equivalent.

Minimum two years’ experience in chiropractic, wellness, or other health care related setting.
- X-ray safety certificate to meet State of Georgia requirements or qualified to become certified.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications and ability to learn and adapt to new software tools and technologies.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics

Preferred Qualifications

Chiropractic Assistant certification from a chiropractic college or university
- Experience with taking digital x-rays

Experience with administering therapeutic modalities under direction.
- Associate of Science Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
Physical Demands
Stooping, turning, bending, squatting, kneeling and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; constant/repetitive standing; requires normal, correctable vision and hearing, and the ability to accurately discern color as necessary to perform job functions; all other necessary and customary physical and/or emotional demands required when working in a chiropractic practice and educating student interns.
Working Conditions

Work performed in a general office environment.

May require availability for overtime hours during peak periods.

May require working at clinic marketing events on Saturday’s and Sunday’s.

Work may be performed in a laboratory and or clinical working environment.
