The responsibilities will consist of managing routine administrative duties and assisting clinical teams during high-demand periods. Our team of ophthalmologists, optometrists, and professional support staff handle all aspects of eye/vision care, from general exams to complex surgeries. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Tracks and follows up with medical records, labs, offsite referrals, imaging results, and clinical encounters.
  • Completes and faxes followup letters to referring doctors in a timely manner.
  • Obtains lab and imaging results to provide to the physician for review.
  • Notifies patients of the results as requested by the physician.
  • Coordinates all departmentspecific procedures, including scheduling, obtaining patient consent, reviewing insurance coverage and cost estimates, and ensuring smooth treatment management.
  • Assists with clinical coverage during highdemand times to ensure continuous patient care and team support.
  • Reviews and respond to time sensitive email communications for various clinic groups.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Excellent customer service both facetoface with patients and over the phone.
  • Must be wellorganized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge in NextGen EPM and EHR (preferred).
  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Three to five years' related experience and/or technical school training.
  • Experience in optometry/ophthalmology (preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and proof of staterequired auto insurance.

Preference will be given to applicants with experience in an ophthalmology setting. Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required. This is a full time position with a benefits package. Hourly rate will be determined based on experience and training of the candidate. Review of applications will continue until the position is filled.

POSITION LOCATION: EYE-Q Vision Care Fresno

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday

PAY RANGE: $21.00 - $26.39 per hour depending on skills, experience, and certifications.
