Position: Clinical Administrator

Organization: South Punjab Hospital
Location: Multan

South Punjab hospital is looking for an energetic Clinical Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidates must possess the following details as mentioned below:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Management

Oversee daily clinical operations to ensure smooth functioning of departments or units (wards, ICUs, OPDs, etc.).

Coordinate patient flow, admissions, and discharge processes to optimize bed utilization.

Ensure adequate staffing levels and resource allocation for all shifts.

Monitor and ensure proper maintenance of clinical and administrative records.

2. Clinical Governance & Quality

Implement and monitor compliance with hospital policies and SOPs.

Support infection control, patient safety, and quality improvement initiatives.

Participate in audits, morbidity/mortality meetings, and clinical review processes.

Ensure medical equipment is functioning and serviced as per biomedical protocols.

3. Staff Supervision & Development

Supervise and support medical, nursing, and allied health staff.

Conduct orientation, ongoing training, and performance evaluations.

Ensure that all staff follow ethical and professional standards of care.

Address workplace conflicts or performance issues promptly.

4. Financial & Resource Management

Assist in budgeting, procurement, and inventory management for the clinical area.

Review and authorize supply requests (e.g., consumables, medications).

Track financial performance indicators such as length of stay, cost per patient, etc.

5. Patient Relations

Oversee patient experience and satisfaction metrics.

Address patient/family complaints and coordinate with Patient Affairs or Quality Office.

Ensure confidentiality and respect for patients’ rights.

6. Compliance & Documentation

Maintain complete, accurate documentation for regulatory or legal requirements.

Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and occupational health regulations.

Support incident reporting, investigation, and corrective actions.

7. Communication & Liaison

Serve as liaison between clinical departments and hospital administration.

Facilitate interdepartmental coordination (e.g., between ICU, pharmacy, lab, radiology).

Prepare and present periodic reports on clinical performance indicators.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

MBBS, BSN, or Allied Health degree (Master’s in Healthcare Administration or Hospital Management preferred)

Experience:

2-5 years of experience in clinical operations, healthcare management, or administrative supervision in a hospital/clinic setting.

Certifications (preferred):

Hospital Management, Quality Assurance, Infection Control, or Healthcare Leadership certifications.
