Overview:
Job Duties
A professional multi-skilled person dedicated to assisting in all aspects of medical practice including administrative and clinical procedures under the direct supervision and responsibility of a licensed physician.
Degree in medicine or other fields, with plans for career in dental, medicine, advanced medical practice, pharmacy, chiropractor, physical and occupational therapy, or other allied fields.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
- Assist with patient examinations or treatments.
- May perform scribe functions by documenting all provider/patient interactions in the medical record under the
supervision and responsibility of a licensed clinician
- Observe and report patients' signs or symptoms.
- Participates in performance improvement projects.
- Participates as an active care team member in the coordination of patient care.
- Provides a standard of excellence as it relates to customer service for patients, staff members, and other customers.
- Assists with test scoring
- Assists with report documentation
Qualifications:
Experience Requirements
1 year - Clerical/Customer Service experience, ideally in a healthcare related industry,
experience with third party payors and computer experience for inputting data and reviewing
patient demographic material. - preferred
Education Requirements
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire
