The successful candidate will teach existing undergraduate courses and develop new courses required for students in the Medical Laboratory Sciences and Biomedical Health Sciences programs. These programs include students preparing for medical, physician assistant, and other health professional pathways. The faculty member is expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching through innovative, evidence-based pedagogy, curriculum development, and effective student education and mentoring. They will also advance the scholarship of learning within these disciplines. As a member of the School, they will also be expected to serve on faculty committees.
As Director of the Medical Laboratory Sciences program, this individual will provide leadership in program administration and strategic planning and explore potential site accreditation. Responsibilities include overseeing daily program operations, coordinating clinical placements, maintaining and expanding partnerships with affiliated clinical laboratories, supporting student recruitment and retention, advising students, and assisting with undergraduate course scheduling within the School of Health Sciences. The director will collaborate with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders to ensure that the curriculum aligns with professional standards and workforce needs and will contribute to scholarly innovation in curricular instruction.
This is a 12-month appointment with a teaching load across all academic sessions.
