The Clinical Behavior Assistant (CBA) plays a vital role within POSH Behavioral and Residential Services’ interdisciplinary team, providing direct clinical and administrative support to the Behavior Analyst and other clinical supervisors to ensure the effective delivery of behavior analytic and person-centered services.

Primary Purpose:

The CBA supports the implementation, documentation, and monitoring of individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) and ensures that all data collection, fidelity checks, and billing are conducted in accordance with ADMH, Medicaid, HIPAA, and agency standards for Level III behavioral services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the BCBA, QDDP, and clinical team during team meetings, case reviews, and data discussions.
  • Provide behavioral observations and updates as requested.
  • Assist with developing visual aids, teaching tools, social stories, and skill-building materials to support BSP implementation.
  • Conduct fidelity and integrity checks to ensure that staff are implementing plans accurately.
  • Collect behavioral and skill-acquisition data for review by the supervising clinician.
  • Complete clinical and progress notes in compliance with agency policy, HIPAA, and Medicaid documentation standards.
  • Complete and submit Level III billing documentation under the supervision of the BCBA .
  • Ensure that all records, reports, and client information are stored and transmitted in compliance with HIPAA confidentiality requirements.
  • Staff Training & Support
  • Assist in the training and orientation of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) on individualized BSPs, reinforcement strategies, and data collection procedures.
  • Provide on-site modeling and coaching to ensure staff understanding and confidence in implementing behavioral interventions.
  • Administrative & Program Support
  • Prepare reports, data summaries, and documentation for audits, Human Rights Committee reviews, and internal QA meetings.
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with HIPAA, ADMH, and agency ethical guidelines at all times.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in data collection systems and documentation software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Understanding of HIPAA, confidentiality laws, and ethical standards in behavioral health.
  • Commitment to supporting individuals served under the HCBS Waiver with dignity, rights, and respect.
  • Reporting Structure

Reports directly to the BCBA/QDDP and collaborates with the Clinical Supervisor, Direct Support Staff, and Program Administrators to ensure clinical and operational excellence within POSH Behavioral and Residential Services.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.50 - $20.00 per hour
