Clinical Case Manager -

The primary location of this position is the main Cullowhee, NC campus. This position is designated as being subject to the State of North Carolina Human Resources Act (SHRA).

The Clinical Case Manager is a position within Counseling & Psychological Services and Health Services at Western Carolina University. The Clinical Case Manager is charged with connecting WCU students with complex medical and mental health concerns to needed resources and services.

The duties of the position include: assisting with triage appointments, providing referral coordination (including following student engagement with crisis appointments, hospital stays, and other afterhours crisis events); assisting students in finding supportive resources in the community; maintaining an up-to-date inventory of referral agencies and individual providers in the local area, establishing and maintaining relationships with local mental health providers/services and campus partners; promoting awareness of CAPS services through Campus and community outreach events; documenting contacts within the electronic medical record systems; and other case management duties as assigned.

Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
