At Asteroid Health, we provide integrated, recovery oriented behavioral health and substance use treatment services. We are committed to compassionate, evidence-based care and a professional, welcoming experience at every point of contact. Our clinical, admissions, and operations teams work together to support long-term wellness and sustained recovery.

The Opportunity

We are hiring a Clinical Coordinator to serve as the operational hub of our admissions process. In this role, you ensure that clients are connected to the right level of care efficiently and with care, working closely alongside the clinical team without providing therapy or making independent clinical determinations.

This role combines intake coordination, referral management, insurance verification, documentation, and scheduling support. If you are organized, dependable, and motivated by the work of connecting people to behavioral health services, we want to meet you.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for incoming clients and referral sources, providing a professional and welcoming experience.
  • Coordinate the intake process and collect initial screening information to prepare clients for clinical review.
  • Manage the intake pipeline and monitor response times to support program KPIs.
  • Communicate with referral sources, track referral volume and conversion, and maintain accurate referral records.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and coordinate with the billing team as needed.
  • Ensure documentation is complete and organized prior to clinical review.
  • Coordinate scheduling for clinicians and new admissions.
  • Support the onboarding experience for new clients, orienting them and their families to program expectations and next steps.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record system.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical, administrative, and program staff to support seamless client care.

Why Join Asteroid Health
  • Your work directly impacts patient access to care. You help ensure that every person who reaches out gets a timely, organized, and supportive first experience.
  • You gain hands-on experience in intake coordination, insurance verification, referral management, and clinical operations in a growing behavioral health setting.
  • You join a collaborative, mission-driven team where organization and dependability make a real difference every day.
