The Black Brain Campaign is a non-profit 501c3 organization created to eradicate the stigma against mental health in the Black community by providing a holistic approach to therapy treatment. Our services include free individual and family counseling, training courses for therapists, supervision, and community resources.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Clinical Coordinator plays a pivotal role in our LEAP program, overseeing the clinical operations and providing guidance to our team of therapists and counselors. They will ensure that our clients receive high-quality care and that our staff members are supported in their professional development. This includes components that are related to the vitality of the program which include overseeing the full-time therapist’s team, client care, reviewing documentation and evaluations, connecting, and building relationships with community, governmental, and colleges/universities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.    
- Provide clinical supervision and guidance to up to five (5) therapists and counselors, ensuring adherence to best practices, ethical guidelines, and clinic policies.
- Conduct regular individual and group supervision sessions to review cases, assess progress, and offer constructive feedback to full time therapists, case managers and LEAP participants.
- Supervise the LEAP participants to develop the required counseling, systematic and relational clinical expertise to meet requirements for graduation.
- Manage the client list by assigning clients to a therapist upon request and availability and organizing and monitoring the client waitlist for full time therapists and LEAP participants.
- Respond to client inquiries, issues, and concerns.
-Supervise and provide oversight, direction to the LEAP training coordinators

- Review and approve assessments, and diagnostic evaluations to ensure they meet clinical standards and client needs.
- Monitor the progress of complex or high-risk cases, offering expert guidance and intervention as necessary.

- Create and Develop LEAP training course work for successful examination preparation
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops for clinical staff, focusing on evidence-based practices, emerging therapies, and cultural competency.
- Support staff in their professional growth by identifying areas for improvement and providing resources for ongoing education.
4.    :
- Review and approve progress notes, treatment plans, and other required documentation.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to develop and implement protocols for assessing and maintaining the quality of care provided by the clinic.
- Conduct regular audits of clinical records and documentation to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Uphold program standards and expectations as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
5.    :
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment by facilitating regular team meetings, promoting open communication, and resolving conflicts as needed.
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., intake, administration) to streamline processes and enhance the overall client experience.
- Continually assess the study group process and dynamics, testing resources, and program development to support clinicians with differing developmental needs.
- Work with the community to create and develop partnerships with local, state, and government organizations, colleges, and universities. This includes, but is not limited to, speaking on panels, attending local events, meeting with staff from other mental health agencies, etc.

- Meet with Clinical Director
- Meet with Executive Director to complete program tasks as assigned.
