About PreemptiveAI
PreemptiveAI is on a mission to redefine virtual care through our innovative remote patient monitoring and care management platform, Preemptive Clinic. We combine modern technology with high-touch clinical support to help members stay ahead of health issues, reduce avoidable hospitalizations, and make healthcare easier to navigate.
The Role
As Clinical Director, you will own the clinical operations of our virtual care platform. You'll report to the Medical Director and be responsible for building, managing, and scaling the clinical team including nursing leadership, care managers, and care navigators.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll set the standard for how care is delivered, drive performance and quality across the team, and build the processes and infrastructure needed to grow. If you're a strong clinical operator who thrives in early-stage environments and wants to shape a care delivery organization from the ground up, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring care delivery is safe, consistent, efficient, and aligned with organizational goals
Build, manage, and develop the clinical team, with a strong focus on performance, accountability, and professional growth
Design, implement, and continuously improve clinical workflows, protocols, and escalation processes across the care continuum
Maintain high standards of clinical quality, documentation, and operational excellence
Drive performance across key clinical metrics, including patient outcomes, engagement, quality, and productivity
Ensure clinical operations remain compliant with applicable regulatory, billing, and documentation requirements
Partner cross-functionally to improve systems, solve operational bottlenecks, and support scalable growth
Requirements
Active RN or higher clinical license required
Bachelor's degree required; MSN, MHA, MPH, or related graduate degree preferred
Clinical leadership experience in a virtual, value-based, or managed care environment, with direct responsibility for team performance and patient outcomes
Demonstrated track record of building and scaling clinical teams, including hiring, onboarding, and developing frontline staff and mid-level leaders
Experience designing or materially improving clinical workflows, care delivery processes, and quality assurance programs
Deep working knowledge of Medicare and Medicare Advantage documentation, billing, and compliance requirements
Familiarity with EHR systems and a practical understanding of how technology enables clinical operations at scale
Comfort operating in an early-stage or high-growth environment where structure needs to be built, not just maintained
Strong analytical instinct — able to use data to identify problems, set targets, and drive accountability across a team
Excellent cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively with non-clinical teams (product, engineering, operations)

We offer a competitive salary and benefits commensurate with experience, with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a mission-driven, fast-growing company.
