Clinical Informatics Specialist, Medicaid and population health

NTT DATA currently seeks a Clinical Informatics supporting Medicaid, Medicare, and value-based care portfolios, to join our team for a hybrid role. Candidate will mainly be 75% remote with some travel to one of the hospital - health system locations. This will start as a 6-month temp contract with high potential to extend multiple months or years.

Job Description
The Clinical Informatics Specialist will support EHR based initiatives focused on improving workflows and technology solutions for Medicaid and uninsured patient populations. This role partners with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders to conduct discovery, document workflows, and inform system design and optimization efforts.


Key Responsibilities
Conduct discovery and document clinical and operational workflows
Partner with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements
Support EHR initiatives across ambulatory and acute care settings
Translate business and clinical needs into functional requirements and recommendations
Support implementation activities including validation, testing, and workflow alignment
Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders
Provide light project and program management support as needed
High level of interaction with providers, nurses, case managers, and care managers
Must communicate confidently and effectively with clinical and non-clinical teams
Ability to facilitate discussions and translate clinical needs into workflow solutions is critical
Ability to gather, organize, and present information to support decision-making
Supports approximately ten concurrent initiatives across data and care delivery


Required Skills and Experience
3–5 years of experience in clinical informatics, healthcare IT, or healthcare project/program management
3 + years of Medicaid and Population Health Experience
3 + years of experience supporting EHR initiatives (ambulatory and/or acute
3+ years of experience working in a provider healthcare environment
1 year of project management skills required
3 + years of Strong workflow analysis and documentation skills


Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience supporting Medicaid and Medicare programs
Experience with workflow optimization or care management initiatives
Experience collaborating across clinical, operational, and technical teams
Experience with communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Understanding of Medicaid workflows within large health systems is valuable
Work addresses common Medicaid challenges such as ED overutilization, transportation barriers, food insecurity, behavioral health needs, and women’s and pediatric care
Workflow documentation primarily done using Google Suite
Google Docs and Sheets heavily used
Experience with Lucidchart or similar diagramming tools is helpful
Comfort creating workflow visuals in presentations is beneficial
Comfort working in ambiguous, evolving environments
Candidate should be comfortable working across Medicaid and Medicare populations due to dual eligibility


Education
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, informatics, information systems, business, or related field, or equivalent experience

Additional Information
Candidate must be comfortable with occasional onsite, monthly travel to one of the hospital locations. This is mainly used to shadow clinicians.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting hourly range for this remote role is ($53.00-56.00/hourly ). This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.

This position is eligible for company benefits that will depend on the nature of the role offered.
